Our Story.
Founded in the summer of 2020, Milk Cart Studio was formed as a response to MAIP (Multicultural Advertising Internship Program) fellows who lost the chance for immersive internships due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For many of us, a paid, out-of-state, summer internship was a huge stepping stone in our careers, or at least, an opportunity to try something new. However, life had other plans. As the pandemic swept through the nation, months of our preparation, planning, and painstaking work fell apart within weeks.
But we’re not the type to cry over spilled milk.
Taking the initiative, Milk Cart Studio was created with the intention to make a positive difference for those who need it. There are bigger problems in the world than losing summer plans. Milk Cart Studio is our commitment to our local communities and small businesses struggling to transition into a growing virtual world, with the hope that our skills can be put to use for the greater good.
Working Together
Running a business can be much more challenging for people of color. This affects not only the business owners but also the communities they serve and represent. After all, if we don't support fellow multicultural entrepreneurs, then who will? So, let's unite our efforts and make a difference together.
